Just handing over the design template to the development team does not necessarily result in a perfect interface. That is why Internet Architects writes front-end code and coaches the developers to build state of the art interfaces.

Realize

Internet Architects specifically chooses not to do any implementation work but to focus exclusively on the front-end. We provide the front-end code, the XHTML, CSS and Javascript. However, we do provide coaching, support, guidance and quality control during the implementation.

Activities during the Realization phase include:

  • Front-end development: turning the designs provided by the graphical designer into XHTML/CSS/Javascript code. Templates are built to ensure re-use of code where possible and take into account compatibility issues with as many browsers as possible. Code is also optimized for accessibility, working with the screen-readers used by visually impaired users and optimized for search engines such as Google. When needed, we share our specialized knowledge with the implementation team by coaching them on the job or by providing guidance and support throughout the project.
  • Quality control: we take responsibility for quality control, user tests and result evaluation.
  • Acceptance: the acceptance of deliverables is a step that may seem obvious but is often mismanaged in projects. It is an essential part of quality control and project management but requires expertise and preparation in the earlier stages of the project.
