Internet Architects is a User Experience agency that differs from the “classical” UX design agencies based on these 4 design principles that are the common thread in everything we do:

We base our design decisions on facts and observations: market research, surveys, interviews, analytics, benchmarks and user research. The internationally praised top tasks methodology serves as a basis for a lot of the research we do at our customers. This methodology was created by Customer Carewords and Internet Architects is the only Belgian partner in this international network.

We created a template for digital transformation that fully includes all the different stakeholders – users, IT, business – to define priorities and a roadmap. Our motto: leave no one behind.

The best place for a product or service is in the hands of the user. Only there we can measure and report back. We look if our assumptions were correct, whether we achieved our targets and how we can steer ourselves towards improvements.

Continuous improvement

A digital product is never “finished”. The needs of the organisation and the user evolve constantly. So to us, a roadmap is not a static scoping document, but a living organism within an organisation, constantly adapting to the ever-changing needs. That’s why we go for long-term partnerships with our clients instead of one-off projects.

Here is what we offer you:

Work-life balance

There is a strong feeling of collegiality where everyone knows everyone. We have occasional lunches or coffee breaks together, but don’t expect the weekly mandatory after-work drink or other social obligations. Those things happen spontaneously, with the people that are up for it. A visit to a brewery, cocktail workshop, tandem rides, potlucks, board game night after the quarterly team meeting… All is possible, but completely voluntarily. Your time is precious and you decide how you spend it. Does your private life hinder the ability to work full-time at the moment? Even that can be discussed. 20 % of our staff currently works 4/5.

You’ll notice that you’ll get a lot of autonomy and trust at Internet Architects. To plan your work, to deal with customers, to telework… We have won a grant from the European Social Fund in 2013 because we’re business with respect to human dignity. We succeeded across all evaluations and the resulting HR processes are still there today.

Conversely, we expect you to be responsible and act, investigate and solve problems in an independent and professional manner. That doesn’t imply that you won’t be supported in your endeavors. Our Project Management Office is readily available to help you in your planning, staffing, resource gathering, billing and other practical worries. For categorical questions, you will always find a fellow UXer, designer or developer in close proximity to exchange ideas and experiences.

We are also proud of our unique way of peer evaluation. There is no manager at IA that will evaluate your performance. Your colleagues will do this for you. Every year they get the opportunity to voice what they find so fantastic about you and which skills are up for improvement. This will be discussed between you and your “counselor” and eventually be poured into a self-development plan. In that way, you can reap the fruits of your IA endeavor to the fullest.

Learning experience

You’ll be working with the crème de la crème within Belgian user experience and we will actively support you to become part of this yourself. The opportunity will rise to gain a wealth of experience in various sectors with interesting customers.

Competitive remuneration

You won’t fall short in terms of financial benefits. You will get a competitive salary, together with meal-vouchers, eco-vouchers, hospitalisation insurance, laptop (mac or pc), cell phone plan… On top of all this, we are also an active promoter of the usage of public transportation from and to your work through a financial benefit.

Unique location

A lot of people envy the location of our office: Koningin Astridplein in Antwerp. With a view on the famous Central Station and in close proximity of the Chinese quarter and the Keyserlei, with its multitude of restaurants and pubs.

If all of this sweetness gets your engine running, drop us a line and your CV!
