UX STRAT has asked Annie to give a presentation at their first European conference on the European Commission titled “Building a UX Strategy for Europe”. The conference focuses on the intersection of business strategy and UX, and invites a select senior-level audience. Annie will give a detailed dive into decisions we made, what worked, what failed, and what we’ve learned.

Annie is a user experience strategist with a background in project management and design. She has over ten years experience in digital marketing, and specializes in online strategy, concept development and interaction design. She knows the ins and outs of good user experience and effective interaction design for user-centered digital services.

Currently she’s part of our team at the European Commission. Together, they are working on the European Commission’s Digital Transformation programme, which aims to consolidate more than 400 independently-managed websites into a single platform. She’s responsible for the overall UX strategy, design and content strategy for the programme, and contributes to the overall implementation strategy and change management. The first public beta launches this fall.

A faster website only bears fruit. Like we’ve told before: your customers’ time is your money. As your website loads faster, less people will abandon your website, they will stay longer and ultimately your bounce rate will benefit. A good performing website even impacts SEO, making sure it’ll be easier for (potential) customers to find you. A faster website improves conversion, it increases visitor satisfaction and it reduces visitor abandonment.
