Port of Antwerp is planning a full overhaul of its online presence. As its strategic digital partner, Internet Architects is helping Port of Antwerp to approach this transformation in a structured and future-proof way.
Over these past few weeks, we have started the renewal process by facilitating workshops during which staff members from various departments have brainstormed to map their business model. The goal: to get an exhaustive overview of Port of Antwerp’s intricate core business aspects, economic, social and other.
This business model canvas (BMC) is just the beginning of the story in the run up to the Port’s new digital presence. This BMC will serve as qualitative input for the next steps in the process: defining the top tasks and the strategy for the Port’s site(s). The input from the BM gives all parties a great inside-out view on the various target groups as well as on the extensive service offering of our country’s largest port.
This fall, we will gather the same team and start work on defining the sites’ top tasks. This outside-in exercise will result in a list of common tasks that users perform on the Port’s site(s). The combination of business model canvas and the identification of the top tasks will undoubtedly be the best basis to devise an improved and redesigned digital presence for Port of Antwerp.
