With its diverse programme and large attendance, the Antwerp-based World Usability Day 2015 was a huge success.  The event focused on Innovation in User Experience.  Participants presented solutions, shared best practices or raised questions on how to enhance the user experience of products and services.

Manage your content like an accountant

As many large organisations switch to ‘decentralised communication’, web teams have less control over what gets published. However, as our colleague Peter Fransen pointed out in his WUD presentation yesterday, managing decentralised web content should no longer present a problem. The Content Audit tool we are currently building will help web teams track down problems and keep tabs on the quality of the website.

Sharing best practices

At the end of World Usability Day our UX designer and strategist Annie Stewart, Hans De Mondt (Astrata), Gwen Vanhee (Little Miss Robot), Jan Moons (UXprobe) and Dries De Roeck (Studio Dott) answered questions and contributed insights and best practises in a panel talk, discussing the presentations and learnings of the day. Mieke Daniels (KBC) moderated the lively talks.

A faster website only bears fruit. Like we’ve told before: your customers’ time is your money. As your website loads faster, less people will abandon your website, they will stay longer and ultimately your bounce rate will benefit. A good performing website even impacts SEO, making sure it’ll be easier for (potential) customers to find you. A faster website improves conversion, it increases visitor satisfaction and it reduces visitor abandonment.
