Tom’s talk on our new expert review approach

On Friday 12 June, Tom will give a talk on UX Expert reviews at the Flupa UX-Day 2015 in Paris, a two-day conference at the heart of Paris. The event is organized by Flupa (France-Luxembourg User Experience Professionals’ Association). Tom will talk about ‘Expert review of a website user experience context’, the same talk he did last year at EuroIA in Brussels.

Tom is one of our Information Architects/UX Designers. He has a deep interest in methodologies that are used to define, create and evaluate user experiences.

At Internet Architects, we call him our ‘expert review expert’. This is because Tom devised a new approach to perform an expert review of a website. His new approach determines the baseline of a user experience by measuring the context factors. He unified existing heuristics, principles and checklists into a new framework for evaluation. This new approach allows us to see the bigger picture of what is good, and where improvement is needed.

A faster website only bears fruit. Like we’ve told before: your customers’ time is your money. As your website loads faster, less people will abandon your website, they will stay longer and ultimately your bounce rate will benefit. A good performing website even impacts SEO, making sure it’ll be easier for (potential) customers to find you. A faster website improves conversion, it increases visitor satisfaction and it reduces visitor abandonment.
