Since 2007, Internet Architects has been the strategic online partner for The Royal Flemish Philharmonic Orchestra. We recently enhanced their website with a number of features to promote concerts and events, especially for people with less experience in the field of classical music.
To further enhance the orchestra's site as a means of promotion for classical music, they asked us to design an intuitive way to find concerts and events on their site so that more people would find their way to them, including those people with less experience in classical music. Another part of our assignment was to help the orchestra use their site to reach out to new audiences via school programs and other outreach efforts.
To ensure the new features on deFilharmonie.be would reach all target audiences, we did a content audit, a user needs assessment and worked on a messaging strategy that focused on integrating education into the user experience. We then elaborated a brand strategy to make the youth and diversity programs easier to find.

The Royal Flemish Philharmonic's website is a responsive site with a mobile first design that is aimed at allowing more people to discover and enjoy classical music. For the integration of the latest features in the Drupal CMS, we teamed up with our technical partner Wunderkraut. Together we ensured that the site is still built in such a way that the Philharmonic's web team can easily manage and maintain the content themselves.
